What is the Secret Place?

Did you know that God knows everything about you? Every single thing, there is nothing you can hide from God. In fact, did you know the more you hide all your hurts, your secrets, and your sins from God, the more miserable you will feel .(Psalms 32:1-7TPT)

We are not created to hide anything from our father in heaven, he knows us, every single thing , we were created in his secret place. The secret place is where we commune so freely with our heavenly father unashamed, free, and full of joy and peace at all times no matter what's going on!

The secret place is where our first parents were created, Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve were the first humans to have close interaction with our father in heaven. They had everything they needed in the garden, plenty of food to eat, freedom , animals to play with and most importantly an intimate relationship with our heavenly father who taught them everything they needed to know for that time. There was no condemnation, no shame, no secrets , no sickness and disease, no pain and no fear in the secret place, everything was out in the open because God’s presence was there. Adam and Eve were so free to be who God the father called them to be, but something changed.

Adam and Eve were only influenced by God at that time, they listened to our heavenly father only, they were led by him , fed by him and they learned from him, there were no other voices competing with God, but a major shift happened shortly after. Everything for them and the rest of mankind changed after they committed their first sin, the first major sin planned by that sneaky serpent called Satan.

I'm sure most people know the story of Adam and Eve. Eve was deceived by satan and convinced her husband to eat the forbidden fruit all because she was told a lie by satan, as she wanted to be wise like God. Adam and Eve immediately felt regret and ashamed after they ate the apple, as God our father went out looking for them at their usual time of commune, God asked, “Where are You?” - (Genesis 6-9} Could our heavenly father be asking you the same thing, “Where are you”?
