What does it mean to seek Christ?
Earlier, we talked about how Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit after God told them not to. Immediately , after Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit they had knowledge of good and bad, and they also felt shame and condemnation. God knew where they were and what they did, but wanted to see if anyone would take accountability for their actions, and of course they did not. God cursed human kind , kicked them out of the secret place ,now thousands of generations later, he is still asking us , Where are you? Are you hiding from God? Are you hiding hurt , offense, unforgiveness, secret sin and shame from him?
Thank God our heavenly father for his grace and mercy, God loved us so much that he gave us another chance, he sent his only begotten son to restore what we lost in the garden, the secret place. Jesus came into the scene to save us from sin, hurt, and shame, he came to bring us back to our father in intimacy. In order for us to see our fathers face we have to go through Jesus, no one else but through Jesus. We must seek Jesus and his ways, Jesus came to us so we can live by his example. Jesus, our king , showed us how to be connected to his vine and how to remain in him. How do we seek him? By learning his ways and applying them in our lives, we seek how he thinks, how he acts and deals with people from different walks of life. In order to seek him we must eat of his word, day and night, we must commune with his holy spirit with all of our thoughts and hurts, our secret sins in our secret place. God shows us mercy again and reveals his love for us once again by sending his son our deliverer Jesus Christ. Through Jesus we also commune with our father in heaven once again.
